Ambitious profile to ensure Danish hotel chain growth

To improve Zleep Hotels’ strategic and commercial competencies, the company has appointed Jesper Østerhegn as Executive Officer. Jesper Østerhegn has many years’ experience from the finance and real estate industries and specializes in hotel properties.

Experienced real estate investor

As of November 1st 2016, Jesper Østerhegn will be the Executive Officer of Zleep Hotels. Jesper has an MBA from Copenhagen Business School and many years’ experience from both the finance sector and the real estate industry, specializing in hotel properties. Jesper has previously been the Chief Investment Officer at Proark, board member of Basisbank and several of Comwell’s operating companies. Jesper has always had a large interest in the hotel operations as a value-creating element for investments. He has a deep understanding of the hotel industry from the many hotel investments and projects that he has been involved in. Jesper is already familiar with Zleep Hotels as he assisted in the establishment of Zleep Hotel Billund as well as the development of Zleep Hotel Copenhagen Airport.

I’ve seen the brand grow and I’ve been following its exciting development in the last couple of years. I look forward to use my skills within strategy, management, investment, financing, development and real estate to contribute to the strategic journey that Zleep is on,” explains Jesper Østerhegn, Executive Officer at Zleep Hotels.

Increased competence level

The new Executive Officer at Zleep Hotels will primarily be responsible for financing, real estate development and contact with property owners. The company’s competence levels increase, thus improving the investment potential of developing a new Zleep hotel. This should ensure the Danish hotel chain more openings.

“Zleep Hotels is developing rapidly. To guarantee that we can profit from the attractive hotel market, which we are currently experiencing, we have chosen to increase our competence levels drastically. Having Jesper on our team and having strengthened our management in general, Zleep Hotels will be able to continue its growth in and development of new hotels. Zleep Hotels has many new projects in the pipeline, and we want to make sure that we can handle this growth while still focusing on performance,” says Peter Haaber, CEO at Zleep Hotels.
