About the Culture Night

Copenhagen is full of exciting attractions and interesting experiences. To stimulate the cultural life further, the city of Copenhagen hosts an evening dedicated to culture. Museums, churches, theatres, musical venues and many more participate by hosting open houses, inviting anyone interested inside to unique events that are only available once a year.

The Culture Night in Copenhagen has always been hosted on the Friday before the Danish Autumn holiday (it is therefore on October 13th in 2017). The first Culture Night was hosted in 1993 and has since become one of the most famous events in Copenhagen.

Culture Pass

With a Culture Pass, you have free entrance to all Culture Night events. Furthermore, the Culture Pass ensures free transportation with trains, S-trains, buses, and the metro in the capital region (from evening to late night). Two children (up to and including 11 years) can use public transportation for free when accompanied by an adult with a Culture Pass.

The Culture Night has a huge program! We recommend that you study the program and decide in advance, which events you would like to attend (unfortunately it would be impossible to visit them all in just one night). Keep yourself updated on the program of the Culture Night and its organisers on kulturnatten.dk. The coordination team behind Culture Night has developed an app, where you can coordinate your own program for this spectacular night out.

Sleep at a Hotel for Culture Night

The Culture night events take place all over Copenhagen. Therefore, its best to stay in or near Copenhagen if you plan to visit the events. You can stay in the center of Copenhagen at Zleep Hotel Copenhagen City or at our hotels in Greater Copenhagen: Zleep Hotel Ballerup or Zleep Hotel Ishøj. The Culture Pass even lets you ride for free with public transport all the way to and from Roskilde where we also have a hotel. There are plenty of Zleep Hotels options from which to choose. So zleep tight!
