Growing brand secures 15th hotel

July 12th, 2018

Zleep Hotels is opening 112 rooms in Lyngby when its new hotel is completed in 2020. The hotel is located next to Ferrari’s new domicile by the Elsinore highway and DTU, an elite technical university. This will be the 15th hotel within the Zleep brand.

Both logos are yellow, both are moving fast – and they will be neighbors in Lyngby, a university city in Greater Copenhagen, but other than that there is not much in common between the hotel chain Zleep Hotels and Ferrari. Zleep Hotels is building a new hotel in cooperation with Benjamin Capital in Lyngby, just next to the new Ferrari showroom, which is also under construction on Lundtoftegårdsvej. Within the hotel building, a Fitness World is also opening, allowing guests to easily work out during their stay at a favorable rate. The hotel is built near the Elsinore highway and at the “entrance” to Lyngby and Greater Copenhagen. Furthermore, the hotel will be located near both DTU and the future light rail station in Lyngby. This will ensure that the city gets a new and improved option for stayovers by opening a modern, affordable concept.

Introduction of new hotel product

Of the 112 rooms, 78 will be standard hotel rooms and 34 long stay apartments. Zleep Hotels will be introducing a new product category, “Zleep Living,” which is targeting guests that need stayovers for longer periods of time. The apartments are 50% larger than the average hotel room and includes a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. Zleep Hotels is expecting to enter a strong partnership with DTU for the use of the apartment hotel.

We experience an increasing demand for larger rooms, where you can “live” for longer periods of tie. Specialists and expatriates, who are working on a project for a long time, and who need a homelier room with a small kitchen and living room. We will be combining a traditional hotel with longstay rooms at other hotels as well – for example in Hillerød, which will be opening at the same time as Lyngby. Lyngby as a location fits Zleep Hotels with its business community, educational institutions, strong infrastructure and easy access to Copenhagen and the airport. It is quite simply a perfect opportunity for us,” says Peter Haaber, CEO and founder of Zleep Hotels.

Hotel brand wants to grow

For Zleep Hotels, Lyngby will not be the only hotel to open by 2020. On top of the existing 9 hotels, another 6 projects are in the confirmed pipeline. In 2019, hotels will open in Upplands Väsby, Aalborg and Aarhus. In 2020, hotels are planned to open in Hillerød, Copenhagen and now Lyngby. When Lyngby opens in March 2020, it will become the Danish brand’s 15th location.

Zleep Hotels’ concept is a very attractive investment and a well-designed hotel for the Nordic market, and we see many opportunities for further expansion in the coming years. Locations that many of our colleagues can’t necessarily get to work, either because of a different cost structure or another conceptual approach to the market, will often work for Zleep Hotels. This gives us almost unlimited opportunities in the Nordics,” says Peter Haaber, CEO and founder of Zleep Hotels.
