New lounge environment to transformed hotel

The renovation project at Zleep Hotels’ central Copenhagen hotel moves on to stage 2. Yet another room floor will be renovated, but this time the lounge area on the ground floor will also be transformed. This transformation will include a welcoming reception with a bar, a comfortable lounge area and a completely new and exciting café concept, which will be developed in cooperation with a well-known Danish coffee brand.

Rooms get a facelift

Last year, the first stage of the renovation project was completed at Zleep Hotel Copenhagen City. It is necessary to renovate one floor as the hotel cannot be shut down completely due to the huge demand for hotel rooms in Copenhagen. The increase in quality has been well-met by guests, and not without reason: the classical room design and its new furniture are value-adding features for the guest experience, which is important to gain a larger market share. The hotel’s occupancy rate was above 80% in 2016 and is expected to grow further in the years to come.

A modern welcome

Comfort in the rooms is essential for a great experience, but the very first experience upon arrival might just be as important to the guest. The reception and its surrounding lounge area will be transformed to a modern, cozy environment, where guests can relax, enjoy a beer, or work with the buzzing of the reception in the background. Zleep Hotel Copenhagen City has a unique location that need to be used properly. When the renovation project comes to an end, the hotel will appear modern and contemporary, all in a beautiful wrapping of a classic Copenhagen building from the previous century.

“The classic reception is being transformed. In the future, our guests will not have to stand in a queue behind the tourists with a thousand questions, but we expect that they will instead be able to check in fast and easily at a self-service check-in machine. This also frees the receptionist to actually have time to answer the tourist’s questions, tell you where to go and have dinner, and serve you a drink in our new, cozy lounge. The lobby’s new center will be the bar, and there will always be room to sit and work or just relax,” explains an excited Manuela Iorga, Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotel Copenhagen City.

New café concept to Copenhagen

The traditional breakfast restaurant is being replaced by a completely new and exquisite café concept, which is still under development. The concept is being developed in cooperation with a large coffee maker. The current plans suggest that the environment allows both the hotel’s guests to enjoy a delicious breakfast alternative and Copenhageners can drop in for a cozy atmosphere and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
