In the summer of 2015, both Zleep Hotel Ballerup and Zleep Hotel Ishøj changed its furnishing. The hotels now welcome all guests with new beds, duvets, and pillows. In collaboration with Polen Indsamling (Poland Collection), Zleep Hotels is sending 120 beds as well as 332 duvets and pillows to Poland, where it will all be used to build a shelter.
“It is great to work in a company, where we don’t just throw away our used inventory when we invest in new. We love seeing that the things we do not use can still have value to others. All our beds, duvets, and pillows have been sent to a shelter in Poland this time around,” says Lene Toft, Hotel Manager at Zleep Hotel Ballerup.
Polen Indsamling is a voluntary association that collects everything from toys to furniture. All that is collected is then distributed to a shelter in the southern part of Poland or sold to thrift stores. Autumn has arrived and the poorest population of Poland is hit hard by the cold that follows. For obvious reasons, it is a great opportunity for Zleep Hotels to donate its beds, duvets, and pillows when the hotels in Ballerup and Ishøj are being renovated and receiving new inventory.
